Alfa Matchbox

I think the Giugiaro-designed Alfa Romeo GTV/GTA is one of the most beautiful 2+2 designs of all time. I want one. But in the short term, it’s not going to happen. So I was pretty happy when I stumbled on this GTA Matchbox the other day. You can buy Mopar Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars all day long (and I have a pretty good collection going), but Alfas are pretty rare commodity.
Made any cool Hot Wheels or Matchbox purchases lately?

There’s a GTV in the FT. Collins, Colorado Craigslist- it’s black, and everything is there, you should go after it!

I picked up a Hotwheels 1982 Buick Grand National, the hood flips up. It’s got a gold body with a black line down it. It’s pretty cool.

I picked one of these up about a month ago. It is a fantastic design – I would love to have the real thing.
Just FYI: I was at Toy R Us today and there is a “British Racing” Green version available in a multipack.

Haha, I love these little hotwheels cars! One cool one I found recently was a Hotwheels beige ‘66 Nova with black racing stripes. Its really sharp! I miss the Blings series that were all bubbled out and had really big rims, those were my favorite.

I haven’t bought any lately, but I have quite a collection from when I was younger. I always preferred the real matchbox cars to the fantasy hot wheels cars, even when I was real young. I’m not sure what my favorites are… maybe the Ferrari 550 Marenello or one of my Corvettes. I’ll post some photos of my collection on my ride page.
