BMW Returns To American Le Mans Series Racing

BMW announced that they are returning to American Le Mans Series racing at the Chicago Auto Show. They brought a race-prepped M3 with a 485 hp V8, which will be campaigned by Bobby Rahal and David Letterman in the 2009 season. More pics at Autoblog. And here’s the video of the unveil.

I don’t care who you are, a muscle car fan or an import fan, this car looks good. I, myself, like a bit of everything and I must say that BMW has its shit together. Good looking cars and good performance. Ya can’t beat that, haha.

I know it’s there for a reason, I’m just saying it detracts from the beauty. I think manufacturers should look to this type of styling for their body kits

Neil G, the wing is there for a reason. Its isn’t a street ricer, it produces over 150 pounds of down force at 100+ mph.

Wing or no wing, this car is sexy to me. I love all cars, but i got a soft spot for BMW they look so spirited, plus they kick ass on and off the highway.
