Ah sweet Thursday…. Just one day short of the weekend. I checked the weather report and they are promising us a weekend of sun. I hope they’re right beacuase I’d love to work on my car this weekend. But you really can’t trust the news for those things… But you know who you can trust? SoundDomain:
- There’s nothing more frustrating than jamming out on your iPod when all of the sudden *silence*…. Dead battery. But it’s not like somebody makes a universal charger that I can use in my car and my house, saving me from having to carry two chargers… Oh, what? Wait, there is? Huh. Well, Never mind then.
- Biometric fingerprint scanners can do everything from logging you into your laptop to letting you in an office building, and now your fingerprint can disarm your car alarm and start your car. Pretty pimp if you ask me.
- Phoenix Gold released a new amp for 2008 that reminds me of the good ‘ol days when PG didn’t care about money, they just wanted to build really big amps that sounded incredible! This new 5-channel audiophile surfboard is sure to impress!

AH but Ted, that would mean the consumer electronic world would have to agree on one universal automotive standard for devices… Not likely going to happen, although discussions have been underway between CE manufacturers and automotive manufacturers for quite a while now (USB is winning).

There should be a modular port, recessed into dashboards of all new cars. adaptors should plug into it like a lego. This cigarette lighter port thing is stupid.
