VW Chroutan

Buried in the twenty-three page thread over on The Car Lounge is one little golden brown word: Chroutan. VWVortex member chippervw combined the source platform’s owner – Chrysler – with the Volkswagen name for their platform-shared minivan – Routan – to come up with a word we are all pronouncing "crouton." Hey, a minivan looks like a loaf of bread anyway, right? More pics and info at Left Lane News.

What’s that? a Crouton? Dosen’t look like a crouton… looks like a minivan. Looks kinda like a Dodge monivan to me.

They chose a dumb-sounding name for it. I guess all the better-sounding names have run out?

Why would volkswagen make a worse version of a caravan. Bring the bus back.
