#43 Charity Auction Starts Today

The charity auction for the one and only blue 2008 Challenger started today. Autoblog was calling it "Petty blue" but Dodge is calling it B5. It doesn’t look like either color to me (B5 for Dodge in 1970 was "Bright Blue Metallic," and the color in the rendition below appears to be darker and not a metallic–here’s a 1970 Dodge Challenger in B5). You’d think they would make a #43 car Petty blue since there is no association whatsoever between Richard Petty and B5 blue. Anyway, what do you think it will end up selling for?

Either way, it looks nice!!! Hmmm… I wonder what a modern Superbird based off of the new Challenger would look like. Just a thought. I keep playing with the above photo in my head.
