The nice thing about the AMC blocks was that they were all exactly the same size externally, so that a 360 or a 401 would drop right in where the 304 came out. Randall American in Mesa, Arizona would do these conversions right off the showroom floor. For a couple of grand over the sticker price, you had something that would give a case of the willies to a stock Z-28. Yeah, I'd buy one...since my 360 Gremmie would pull the front end off the ground in the first two gears, on street tires, I have some good memories of those cars.</p> </div>
