Ice Urchin

By Rob

Editor-in-Chief

Check out this crazy ice formation. Happened in Lyons, Colorado, which got about four inches of snow Wednesday night. These spikes developed on the rear wheels of a Nissan Frontier after driving through a bunch of wet and melting snow yesterday. Ever seen anything like that on your wheels?

I had this happen too! It happened to me as I drove 300 miles across Wyoming in a severe blizzard. When I got out to get gas it scared the sh*t out of me because I had brand new wheels and was headed to a car show, and at first look I thought the center caps or something had exploded. LOL. Unfortunately I knocked my urchins off my wheels without thinking of taking a picture, which I thought of once I was back in the car driving. Now I can use this picture to show people what the hell I was talking about, because most of the time people look at me like I am crazy!
