Personally I love Evo’s, the roar of the engine is great while accelerating and if you get yours on a track get it up to speed and here’s an idea for all you wanna be racers. Go for lessons at a race track over a weekend and learn your car. Trust me it’s worh it all day long.
If that’s too expensive try the Nurburgring in Germany, 5 Euros per lap – 10mins per lap or faster if you dare…

BTW – I have been smoked by many evos so I throw a thumbs up to all evo owners!

The STi is perfect for all occasions. The backseat is great for loading groceries, the power allows me to cut-off and pull out in front of any drivers I want, the grip allows me to take corners faster than the next guy and the excellent suspension makes for easy in-N-out of driveways at speeds above 20 MPH. Aside from being the ultimate daily driver and city car as I have discussed, I can then take it to the track or into some canyon roads and put down continual hotlaps never having to worry if my car will start, etc.

i originally bought my evo for 2 reasons
1. the guys at the subaru dealership didnt give me the time of day
2. it was the only car i test drove that powerwise felt like my integra(which some jerk decided to steal)
but it was a very good decison imo

there is nothing else. Subes got more common sense than the ever retarded dodge colt dropped down, turbo’d and looking very much a sedan…called an evo.It is no pissing contest. whip out some engineering math and no pissing contest at all. the old subes are even smarter, but subaru decided to make self destructive drivelines (EJ==Kamikaze generation since 1990 or 89) for thier fattening wallets. They could be even better, but to be forced into that realm where only two cars exist, the sube would have to do. I used all 2 brain cells and 25 years of driving to conclude this.
