This Just In: New on the Net

It’s Friday, and I’m stoked. Not only do I have plans to go out and get heroically trashed with my best buddy, I can do so with the knowledge that my yearly review is in the can. I passed by the skin of my teeth, and I’m totally relieved. Let me tell you one thing I learned during the process: waterboarding is torture. Here’s the news:
- You don’t have to drive recklessly to hate speed cameras. Everyone should hate Big Brother. But you know what they say: know thy enemy. Auto Express
- Everyone knows you can get a ticket for having a car that’s too loud, but it turns out Maryland doesn’t want cars to be completely silent either. Nope, it’s not a joke. Can you guess why? Automotive News
- NASCAR officials didn’t like some of the mods which had been done to the spoiler and truck lid of Dale Earnhardt’s number 88 car. Wonder why? AutoWeek
- Why? Because I’m bigger than you, that’s why! Chrysler wants our neighbors in the Great White North to follow the new CAFE rules. Misery loves company. Detroit News

BTW: I found a pretty funny crash video on YouTube. Maybe it was funny cause it’s late, but I laughed pretty hard, so it’ll probably be funny tomorrow, too.

John-
RE: The silent car / Maryland thing. I was lead to a registration link. In a blog where information comes from many sources, it’s a bad idea to lead readers to sites requiring registration. It’s inconvenient, and likely that those who are willing to register for one article will never have an interest of reason to re-visit that website.

I recommend trying to find an alternate source of information that does note require registration, or if you cannot and instead it’s legal to just provide a synopsis, that would be better.
