Maybach on the Half-Shell

By Jen

By fall of 2008, Maybach will be manufacturing its half-roofed Landaulet, which appeared as a concept car at the Detroit Auto Show. The soft-top limo bears a certain family resemblance to this Toyota Camry lowrider I saw at the SEMA show. But with a price tag of $1.35 million (!!), I can’t imagine that Landaulets will be exactly rolling out of the showrooms. Expect most of them to end up in the hands of NFL stars and foreign dictators. More views after the jump.

Looks Awesome. We at Royal Silver Service (website: http://www.royalsilverservice.co.uk ) would love to add this to our fleet to go alongside our Maybach 62. The only problem is that here in the UK Global Warming seems to have messed up our summers more than usual bring us more rain showers and tropical type downpours than ever before. This would greatly cut down the number of hours you could actually have the roof down.

If I had 1.35 mill. I wouldn’t be spending it on a car… Unless they came in neon green……. -_-

At 1.35 million, just about the only ones who can afford it are the Olsen Twins, Donald Trump and Bill Gates.

I hope they’ll only build them to order.
