Nader in 2008

Well, it’s hard to believe, but Nader is running again. A lot of people blame him for Gore’s loss in 2000. And a lot of Corvair fans blame him for the death of the Corvair. But according to this 2004 New York Times article, there are some who believe that Nader’s book Unsafe At Any Speed actually helped the Corvair.
Many enthusiasts say they think the campaign against the Corvair actually caused its life to be extended. By the mid-1960′s the sporty Camaro and compact Chevy II had made the Corvair redundant, so, fans say, the perception was that G.M. kept the car in production because it did not want to be seen as caving in to Mr. Nader.
Still, I can’t see many Corvair owners–or anyone else–voting for the guy in 2008.

Nader won’t be a spoiler. At best he’ll get less than 1%
