What Did You Do This Weekend?

I fired up my diesel Escort project car and took it out on the road for the first time! On Saturday I dieseled all over hell’s half-acre to get a feel for the car and clear out the old pipes, driving from Seattle north to the junkyard in Lynnwood and then back through the city down to Renton. The Escort ran nice and straight, behaved perfectly at highway speeds, shifted smoothly through all five of the forward gears, stayed nice and cool in traffic, clattered like a little jackhammer, and did a great job of keeping tailgaters at bay with its big trail of noxious fry-grease smoke. I also found out that it very likely does not have a reverse gear. Oh well, I knew I had my work cut out for me with this one!

Hey, Travis… are you on AOL? ’cause getting into cardomain dosen’t throw a bunch of advertisements on the screen. Maybe you can get a pop-up blocker or new Internet service provider…

I recommend Verizon Fios. My connection is something like 15 times faster than cable. No pop-ups either.

Well, I got to work on upgrading many things on the GT then spent just as much time trying to update my pages with sorry errors every step of the way over and over again. Then I get email notifications someone signed my guestbook so go to check out my page and have to wait a half hour for all the surveys and ads from everything from Alpine stereos to Maxipads to finish loading before my guestbook is visable. Maybe I’m just beating around the bush too much and need to say that this new page format sucks @ss! It’s not even our page any more, we got sold out for the almighty dollar. There is so much clutter! I’m just disgusted and had to take the rest of this week off to stare at the car with a never ending drink in my hand thinking how much I’m going to dread downloading more pics thru the sorry , there has been an error messages. ughhhhh!

I put in a new floor board to my newly acquired 83 BMW 320i, Also sealed off the broken sunroof so I wont have to replace the floorboard again.

I completed a 2-tone leather mod on my Firebird. Afterwards, I created a 4th page on my Firebird site and left step-by-step instructions on how I did it, for all ’93-’97 firebird owners who may be interested in doing the same mod on theirs.

I wanted to get more done, particularly the dashboard, but now EVERYONE is sick at my house. I %#*&%^&* can’t wait for $&*$*$* summer.

I went to test-drive and to hopefully buy a car I had been looking at for some time now. Unfortunately, we got enough snow that I had reschedule. Hopefully I’ll be making another cardomain page soon!
