Pontiac to Debut Solstice Targa in New York

The General floated the idea of a Solstice coupepicturedback in 2002, and it looks like the wait is almost over. At the New York International Auto Show later this month, the company will unveil the Solstice Targa, and with lines like this, you have to wonder why they sat on it for six years. Seriously, this baby is almost NSFW! While the concept didn’t feature a removable top, according to head honcho Bob Lutz, the Targa will look identical. Let’s hope he’s not pulling our leg. In any case, we’ll get a ton of shots at the show. Stay tuned! More pics after the jump.

yup the only problem i see is that exhost. it would look a hell of alot better sideways or spread apart like most duels.

OOH I agree wholeheartedly about this car’s anus er… “exhaust”. That right there is the worst of what I see by far.

Some things are hard to improve upon, like having an array of pipes balanced between left and right. This middle crap has been pulled off by some i.e. Zonda, mini… but this just looks PLAIN STUPID.

The rest of the car? Well, aside from the fact that it’s just a 2-seater, I think this car and some other reasons are why there won’t be another Firebird.

i like the Saturn Sky better so i hope they do the same thing to it as well, i mean its GM for Christ’s sake
