I remember a couple years back when my kid made a Bugatti Veyron pinewood derby. It acctually turned out pretty cool.

My best pinewood entry was back in the early 80s. My dad and I modeled it after a corvette. (sort of) The front end sloped up slightly and the rest was fairly aerodynamic. The launching system for the derby cars favors those with upward sloped front end. My car had the best jump off the line because it would start sliding down the pin before it was down all the way.
