What’s Weak This Week: Dangerous Doggie Bags
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
Sure, dogs love to loll their happy heads out the window when they ride, but that’s no reason to go strapping them to the outside of your vehicle—hey, just ask Mitt Romney’s Irish Setter. With the weather getting nicer as spring approaches, you’ll start seeing a lot more of those geniuses who roll around in pickup trucks with their pooches tottering in the back, one speed bump away from becoming road pizza (or hanged to death, if they’re leashed). So, although this vintage ad is more about what was weak this week in 1936, it’s a timely reminder that Paris Hilton didn’t exactly invent the strap-on-dog school of accessorizing—and that the smart, though goofy, way to secure your dog while driving is to the seat. Verdict: WEAK.

I’ll never forget seeing a large dog’s carcas teetering amid body over the center concrete divider on Roosevelt Expressway in Philly. That was over 10 years ago, but I still get seriously pissed off at the moron who was responsible.

Some people should be restricted from having pickups for stupid offenses as such. I’ve also seen all kinds of debris in roadways because these geniuses didn’t have the mental stamina to secure their loads.

Heck even the CarDomain Scion was mangled cause of one of these idiots lost a chair. Whenever I see someone with a dangerous load on the road anymore, I don’t give a shit about what he thinks… I freaking harass him till he gets his shit resolved cause it’s the people behind him who end up footing the bill.
