I actually met the CEO responsible for the picking of the main cars. These aren’t the type, they’re just background cars like C-Dubbb says. Mine could’ve been in with the S2000 and other Top Secret rides, but after getting front cover of an international mag and feature ride of it’s quarterly dvd, I wanted the car back home in Hawaii. The storage would have been taken car of, but what else would I have gotten? A background shot? A damaged car? A stolen car? Nah, I admire all these rides, but I have mine to enjoy at home now. Can’t wait to see some rides in action, exhibition is way better than show cars sittin still.

Giant rims, atrocious paint, and goofy doors don’t make a car fast. And who the hell needs a huge TV in their truck? That kind of defeats the purpose of a pickup. Unless your purpose for getting a pickup was to look like your stealing a plasma screen. Is that a pink BMW? Really? Who does that? And do people actually race XBs? Where are the performance vehicles?

Yeah alot of these cars look nice for car shows but this movie looks like its going to b ricey as all hell!!!! Fast and the furious is supposed to rep. us real street racers. These pics r far from our culture and wat we really look like out there. The only car that i saw on those pics that would b for real is supra that u can barely see. If they want to make it more realistic to us real guys, base part 4 cars off of part 1. Now that was a badass movie!

Im from australia, a country once known for its high quality of modified vehicles, then after this pathetically stupid hollywood piece came out theres be nothing but buckets of crap flooding the streets.

The 12,000 members of RICEKILLER.COM are embarrassed that such a travesty is being produced. Once again, Hollywood will influence a new generation of children to become ricers, and another group of civilians to believe that car enthusiasts are street racing, drug dealing, cop evading thugs. This is just terrible. I live on the streets, I am apart of this community, the REAL automotive community and this bullshit is just getting stupid. The whole idea of the original series is a fantasized version of reality. What no-one stopped to realize that some people, mainly children, impressionable teens, and the unknowing public, dont know the difference between a movie and REALITY. The result of the first movie, and the resulting series has been the creation of thousands of sub-standard “street race car” (AKA: RICERS) flooding the streets of America, complete with sideways cap wearing teens convinced their car is “so fast, and so furious”. Import owners and Domestic owners alike pay the price for hollywoods greed with cops profiling us all as criminals because of the fictitious actions portrayed in these movies.

I am sick and tired of these inaccurate movies butchering the automotive scene and taking our hobby and molesting it. I volunteer to be a liaison for the automotive enthusiast community for this movie series.

My 90 suburban 12 inch lift 8-15’s 10 Kw amp 5 screens ,dvd ,tv tuner or my turbo’d, slammed 04 corolla with a cyber body kit, 2-12’s 1.5 Kw amp. It’s all good and yes I built all with my 2 hands with the help of my father and brother.

I’m really amazed by the rude nature of some of these comments. I like all car movies because I like cars period. I’m sure I will enjoy this one as well. I like big block muscle cars, import tuner cars, and exotic supercars, all the same. I prefer turbo-charged cars because frankly it’s a lot easier to squeeze horsepower out of them. I’m also seriously addicted to that jet engine sound that you hear when the turbo kicks-in!!! Anyway, I just wish more people would enjoy cars for what they are, an extension of the owner’s personality and imagination.

All in all the most importants thing with any modified car is that the owner did the work himself. i hate the pansy babies who say there ride is awsomo and all they did is flash some serious money to a shop. If you want to talk about how a car should be worked on then you have to work on a car yourself. Dont brag about that car you drive because you gave a shop four grand to make it for you. I think alot of us are missing the point here, its not what you drive or wether or not its import or muscle. dont get me wrong i know there are alot of die hards out there that dont see anyother ways then there and thats fine but this isnt just one or two of us its all of us, tho we dont like to admit it there is a 90% majority that like the 1st fast and the furious, i personally think it was a good movie, their 2nd was absolutly horrible and the third is just there with nothing to do with the series except a so called surprise appearance from vin which in a way still stretched back and slapped the first in the face. but look at us yelling at each other over a movie. what we do and how we do it is what makes us unique, the cars we choose the mods we do its all part of the scene, even those rides that have a air intake and altezza lights have a part, tho if thats you you should really learn that your car is damn slow, but thats not here nor there. look our cars are our fingerprints, they show what we are and what we are about. from interior luxary and class, to full out nothing but engine race machines, import or muscle, body and paint to piston and turbo/supercharger, we are all the same in one right. we love our cars. this movie is probably either going to kill it or simply just exsist, but you can thank it and hate it for one reason, either its going to open someones eyes to the wide world of tuning and they will go far, or its gonna make those little shit talking kids at the corner with a pos and 20 dollars in parts think he’s fast. say what you will we cant change its coming out, the tuning scene was strictly underground and now these movies have come out and it makes us hard to remain unseen but there are pros and cons to everything. since these movies a hell of alot more sponsors have opened there doors to help us with our addiction, however a hell of a lot more cops came out to play and make it harder. take it for what its worth but stop fighting over petty shit like young or old and just do what we use to and leave the decision to the street

A lil info to all the owners of solstices. the dies for the front fenders were made by a company in salem ohio where i worked and i had the things at home b4 the car was released. but i scrapped them cuz they got in my way. many of many engineering changes on those things to get the hood gaps correct. theres alot of work in getting perfect stampings outta die.

love the work that goes into these cars.Especially the graphics and murals that takes alota time and masking tape. the first movies was the best. BUT i have one complaint and im gonna take some slack for this.being 26 not alot of younger people remember the cars…they have had chevelles,chargers,challengers,supras,cavliers,and what not in the movies. haha wheres the 69-70 amx’s and the 71-74 javelins where you can put a 12″ rim in the ass end with no tub. cant wait to get the 71 done…. Well, all I have to say is that these cars would make me take a second look. I would stare for a few moments before saying, “Hey, I would trade cars with that guy.” The vehicles in the Fast and the Furious movies are very (very very very)nice. Some are overdone, yes. Example: vinyls to me = bad. I just don’t like vinyls. I’m okay with body kits aimed at pure visual entertainment, custom paint, shiny rims and big spoilers. I wouldn’t mind tricking out a car like that. It’d just be a lot of fun, and I plan on doing it someday. I’m looking forward to this next movie, I don’t know about the rest of you. I do enjoy a good car movie, but there really isnt a whole lot you can do in a car movie when the cars dont talk. Hence the wild paint schemes and so forth, let that do the talking and the actors work the peddles. cool to see some behind the scenes stuff. I am so looking forward to seeing the next movie. Sure the cars are over the top and the story line isn’t always that solid but who else is making movies with flash cars, all about the cars? I can respect the time, money and effort that these cars take to build. I’m still working on project now, moving into its 3rd year and have built lots of varied cars before this one. Its great to see them on the big screen.
I am looking forward to seeing the next installment. Hope they don’t stop.
p.s. I do find it funny half the people that rip the cars off in these movies still go and see them or hire them on video. Probably claim you don’t watch pornos too.

Personally I respect originality and I personally have spent two years competing with a few of my cars in carshows. I personally prefer the “Clean” look but would not bash everyone elses taste.
My cars have been criticized both good and bad and I respect both points of view and only wish gfor people to respect that I have shown originality and done something good with a car you don’t see in shows too often.
With that said,There is definately a little overkill in alot of these cars nowadays I think with the bling! just my .02 though.

And then, one of these innocent people not involved in the “race”, doing nothing wrong, are in the wrong place at the wrong time and are killed after being hit by an idiot who couldn’t be bothered to take the testosterone where it belongs…to the track. And before someone sayssomething dumb like “that won’t happen to me, I know how to street-race safely”, do you really think any street racer who ended up killing themselves or someone else thought to themselves “Man, I really shouldn’t be doing this because I am not a good driver, I don’t have enough experience, and I think I might end up hurting someone”? Why all the hate. The scene was party goers. It was not a drift scene or tokyo drift. The producers did not call for race or drift cars. It was a club scene. The cars were not performing stunts or racing.

For many reasons. The cars shown here are mostly riced out pieces of crap with add ons that don’t affect the cars performance at all. A lot of these cars have no racing/drifting history. I mean common…. is that a 08 Corolla with lambo doors? xB’s?

If you want some real performance or drift cars why not look at formula d or d1?

-corrolas (86’s or Levvins)
-Supras (late and recent models
-Sylines
-MAYBE a few civics like the Falken one (FWD drifting is sweet if done right)
-Camaros (Falken Camaro kicks serious ass)

-Chargers (even though they suck)
-Solstice
-Mr2
-Corvette
-Porshe GT2/2 (check the Hankook Formula D porshe!)

Next, up the upgrades on these cars are pointless body kits that add no downforce. Huge wings that don’t add any downforce. Almost none of these cars have real upgrades that might actually help besides the Solstice.

Stupid ugly paintjobs to add to the stupid ugly pointless kits like the Stangs for example.

There is a way to make SUV’s perform well and look good! Just google search D1 Honda Element…… Then look at it! Does it look like any of the crap cars you see in this movie? NO it’s a honest to goodness drifter with a body kit aimed at style andperformance.

WTF! What real performance car or drifter has underglow or NOS? NONE

NOS is just a company that makes its millions off stupid streetracers that saw FF1… NX express is a better choice even… And NOS is only for dragging!

Lastly This movie killed the real street racing scene. Dumbass kids are taking their racing or drifting to the street when they otherwise would of gone to the track. Thus getting people killed and ruining it for the real street racers who had nothing to do with this crap…

These movies trick kids into thinking the opposite of what they should be thinking if they want to get into drifting or dragging or racing. That style is more important and that you should go to the streets to learn it. When you should be looking into real performance cars (you can get them cheap) and real upgrades, not gaudy huge rims and pointless body kits.

Good to see the solstices in there. They both look highly modified. Good to see a change rather then the same civic in another bodykit on the show.

With the rise in gas prices, I think I’m going to make my own movie about hybrids and electric vehicles called the slow and slightly upset. Then all of the haters that are bitching about the F/F movies will have something to enjoy, because I know that this is what they really want to see. That or they want to sport the mullet and watch a movie about NASCAR. “Look Ma he made a left, look he made another left, and another, and another, this is sooooo dang cool! It was so cold!!!!! I was freezing my hini off. We had very skimpy outfits on. They gave us blankets between shots. The cars were all show quality. Very nice and good selection by Justin Lin. I hope he uses them throughout the movie. They looked better then the ones used in the cemetery scene.

There are 11 cars from cardomain that I know off including my truck.
It was fun, but the wardrobe they wanted us to wear was stupid looking. Some asshole in red hair and a beard was a complete dick
to all of us. He was the guy that arranged the scenes. He made the black solstice and blue supra move off the set because there was no room. These guys traveled far to be there. Why not move them around and back into the scene? My homie was going to punch him out. All the cars were bad ass. The pictures do not do any of them justice. These are the best of the best.

Its good to see a nice assortment of automobiles. That way the movie won’t be bias, everyone can find something they like, and people can SHUT THE FUCK UP about the movie catering to a certain group of cars. I actually think all of the cars look pretty good.

The rims on that Stang might look nice, but they’re not my style. They look like 22s. To each his own but if it were mine, I’d go with 20s no less than 18s. Too small, and you lose out on top end speed and fuel economy. Too big and you’re dealing with alot of extra rotational weight which affects handling and acceleration. Put me on the functional side of things. That’s what I like. Pure functionality first. Looks second.

You need to do your homework before you open your mouth on the solstices. The yellow one is madmods and it kicks out 350hp on stage2 werks aftermarket kit. My supercharged DDM solstice runs circles around most v-8s. The red bull solstice dynoed at 500 hp. What are you driving?

I was an extra in the party outside of the night club. I have to say the cars were top notch. Justin Lin (producer) had a mix of cars. There were american like the solstices and mustangs, german and asian cars. Vin Diesel as hot. He was in the best shape of his life. The stunts were awesome!
