Tesla Flips the Bird at Doubters, Begins Roadster Production Today!

Despite multiple recent snafus concerning glitchy components, NHTSA meddling, and executive-level melodrama, Tesla reports that it is going ahead with production of its all-electric roadster, starting today. Assembly of the cars at Tesla’s plant at San Carlos, CA, will begin at a modest 1-5 vehicles per week, "eventually" ramping up to 100 cars per month. The first 900 or so of the hot Lotus-based EV’s are already spoken for.
