If GM wants to get back in the game they should accelerate their Volt plans and think about bring back the EV1. As a previous dealer, they blew it. Unfortunately they were looking at the trees and did not see the forest. Moving, into the future, with a large portion of parts mfg moved overseas. Instead of looking at the lost service/parts business, GM should be worried about its ability to survive into the future, showing vision and looking at producing EVs.

This bold move would be akin to Fords assembly line move. We have vast wind resources, which if we focused on developing, we could eliminate our imports of oil, be energy independent, more secure as the Saudis money to fund Madrasas would dry up.

This is the type of leadership we need. Come on GM, you have the knowledge, the baseline for tooling of the EV1 assembly line and battery technology is gaining ground. Shoot, if you went out and found out where ANUVU's fuel cell technology has been hidden, we could see a major paradigm shift in the world. Maybe see a much better future for all on this planet.

Peace be with you,

Rob: THANK YOU for having the consideration to have started off by asking about the Firebird. Not thrilled with the response but having asked is appreciated by us Firebird lunatics.
