Maxima or TSX: Which Would You Choose?

No one’s going to mistake a TSX for a civic.. that’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. And as for the comparison, the new maxima’s headlights look kind of garbage “how can we make our headlights look different without a sense of style.. hmm” it doesn’t even look right at all.. besides with the acura you’re buying the most dependable car make in the world.. so I’d have to give honda a thumbs up here, even if I personally like the old style a bit better.

P.S. I’d rather rock an acura than a fugly mercedes or chrysler (to say lincoln here would be a joke in itself..)

I’d decide on the Maxima for one reason. If I wanted a TSX I would go purchase a Civic it’s the same damn thing. They should just get rid of Acura, never should have made them in the first place but then again that’s my opinion.

I like the TSX…it’s a little lower profile. The Nissan kinda too big or wide for the car…

Never really was a Maxima fan but I feel like a few exterior mods and the TSX could look really good. So I’ll go with TSX. Besides if I’m buying a 4-door I’m not going to upgrade the engine much simply because I personally wouldn’t be bringing a 4-door to the track.

This is not a fair competition, the TL is more closer to the Maxima Class. I’d take the TSX because it’ll handle better than the Max, though it won’t outrun it- but if you really wanted something faster… get a sportscar…

THE TSX LOOKS LIKE A BLOATED CIVIC SI WITH CHROME ACCENT. ACURA HAVE NOT MADE A CAR YET TO COMPETE WITH THE MAJORS (MERCEDES, BMW, CADILAC, LEXUS, INFINITI, LINCOLN). THEY ARE IN A CLASS OF THEIR OWN WITH UNATRACTIVE MIDPRICE VEHICLES THAT ONLY A NUT WOULD BUY, IE THE TSX STARTS AT $28,000 BUT FOR $2000 MORE YOU CAN GET A G35, A LEXUS IS, A LINCOLN MKZ OR EVEN A BMW 1 SERIES WHICH ALL LOOKS AND PERFORM BETTER. AS FOR THE MAXIMA ALL I CAN SAY IS PUT SOME Ds ON THAT B*%CH AND CALL IT A DAY. IT’S NOT A FAIR COMPARISON CAUSE MAXIMAS ARE PRICE RIGHT AND THEY HAVE A CLASS TO COMPETE WITH WHICH IS THE CHRYSLER 300, THE TOYOTA AVALON AND OTHER BIG SEDAM.

The TSX looks too much like an accord. My brother has a max and its fast. I would go with the maxima, i like nissans.

I would go with the Maxima. I prefer the styling, despite the controversial headlights. Also, the Maxima’s interior looks quite nice.

What a silly ass comparison. These cars are not even in the same class. The Honda Accord (TSX = European Accord) vs the Maxima haha. The Maxima is a lot bigger, a lot faster and a lot better.

I do not like the front end of the TSX, so I will go with the Maxima

Acura w/ the 6 speed stick.

At first glance, both seem to be great choices in the low-to-mid 30’s range, until you look into them a tad bit futher..

The TSX offers only one sad engine option while the Maxima offers only one sad transmission option…

I think the Maxima will fare better because, admittedly, very few Maxima owners prefer manual trannies, while pretty much all TSX owners are looking for something with more than a puny 200hp 4-banger.
