Sharp-Looking Wheels in Cambodia!
By Jen Dunnaway

Check out the hot set of rims that KCR’s otherwise sleeper-looking Camry is rollin’ on. I’m not usually into this sort of thing, but KCR’s 7-color LCD lighting setup is oh-so-much more tasteful than those LED-screen rims with the goofy commercials, and it has earned him the top spot for custom lighting on CarDomain! KCR has since gotten some black aftermarket rims to show off his lighting with, but I think I almost like the polished factory wheels better, because of the way they reflect the colored light. Which set do you like best?

That’s sooo soo cool. I wonder as well how they would hold up to the heat. I think they’d only look cool with the right rim as well. Now you’d really really have to keep the insides of those rims clean.

I see. He probably mounted flexible LED strips on the backing plate of the drums in the back, and the splash deflectors of the discs in the front. That is very clever, and as long as you got the deflectors on the front discs (and back discs if there are discs back there) anyone can do this.

I wonder however about how well the front LEDs will hold up with summer driving. The front discs get hot and the deflectors, well I guess not as hot but at some point they can heat up too, maybe enough to melt the light casings.

If I were 20, I’d definitely do this mod on either or both of my rides, although I’d probably have just blue on the Firebird and red on the GPGT. I just turned 43 though. Think I’m too old for that sort of thing?
