Hot Import Nights LA Photos Live

Hot Import Nights kicked off its 2008 season in Los Angeles over the weekend, and CarDomain sent Larry Chen to cover the action. Of course, there were a ton of killer rides and gaggles of models, but this was the first time I’ve ever seen mannequins posed next to some of the rides. Seriously, what’s the deal? Is this the JDM equivalent of those creepy little kid dolls that pop up at domestic car shows? And is this a new thing, or have I just missed it somehow? Anyway, enjoy the pics!

i prefer the hot asian chicks standing next to rice mobiles, instead of plastic people.

Great. Now that they don’t have to pay expensive women to stand around, there’s no limit to how many otherwise clear shots of the cars they can ruin by putting a body in the way.
