Saleen Raptor vs. Lamborghini LP560-4: Which Would You Choose?

I rep for Saleen in Flint Mi, Saleen did its home work when it built this car. The h.p. can be increased to 1100hp the car is a full race car but street legal. Lambo is a awd which is a big plus, its also a v-10 but its vert expensive to hop up.

Saleen Baby! Lambo is still trying to recover from it’s days of producing hypercars rather than supercars. And although I do love the Lambo Murcielago LP640, after the beauty of the power, looks, and driving experience of the Twin-Turbo Saleen S7, the Raptor is sure to have only gotten better with improved knowledge from the S7. Plus, it’s a blown 5.0 making 650 HP, that’s reason enough to buy it right there!!! American Muscle Baby!

They’ve already built 2. A Green one was just finished and tested this past month. Seems to be as quick as his 1013-HP Supra Turbo.

Neither. Exotics aren’t my thing and these two are both ugly. But hey, if someone wants them and likes them. All the power to them. Just because I don’t like them dosen’t mean anything.

I liked the Raptor a lot more at the New York show then the Lambo. Besides the Lambos sick paint job. Btw, for anyone who saw the Saleen booth at the New York Auto Show, my brother did the lighting for them and that big crescent moon display. Its pretty cool, you should check it out while you still can.

When it comes to motor though I definitely would take the Saleen it would crush the LP-560. Gallardo LP560/4, I’ve been a Gallardo fan since it bowed, and I I honestly haven’t heard much of the Raptor yet, but it IS mad aggressive-looking. I’d have 3 Gallardo s in my garage if I had the bucks. A std Gallardo cpe w/ 6-spd E-Gear, a Gallardo Spyder with 6-spd E-Gear, and the LP560/4 with 6-spd Man.

Definitly the Lambo LP560-4. I definitly like the sharper lines, a beautiful car!! I haven’t quite warmed up to the styling of the saleen yet, although it’s still very nice also.

Sure, the Raptor has more horses, but having seen both in person–and having spent some seat time in a Gallardo–it’s Lambo hands down.

I would go with the Lamborghini. To be honest, I’m not too fond of either car, but if I had to choose one, it would be the Gallardo. Jeremy Clarkson was not impressed with the stock Gallardo because it didn’t have some of the insanity that Lamborghini’s are known for. However, he loved the spider. The 560 horsepower V10 should bring some of that insanity back to the LP560-4, hopefully making it a much more fun car to drive.

Although Saleen’s racing history with the S7 has been fairly impressive, I just can’t see myself liking this car. Saleen is a great company and I hope to see more of them in the future, and I can’t really explain why I can’t accept the Raptor. With the Lamborghini, you get a sense of a super car pedigree, even if it has recently been thought of as a rapper’s vehicle. I guess thats not entirely bad, because after all, every kid around the age of twelve and up through their teens dreams of owning a super car. And they (well, we, I suppose) want something that looks outrageous, not necessarily something that is a star on the track. And if a Lamborghini is featured in a kid’s favorite rap video, well, that kid is probably going to favor Lamborghini. Just the other day in the computer lab at school, I noticed a Murcielago as a friends desktop.

I don’t want to be like all the other teens who dream of a car because it looks cool, but I can’t force myself to like the Saleen, either. I just can’t. If I ever end up looking to buy a super car, I would walk past these, and buy a Porsche 911 GT3.

I usually don’t post on these but I had to on this one. I really like the styling of the Raptor, I actually saw a silver Saleen S7 today and I like the styling but I doubt they’ll actually make it plus the Lambo does look sexy in white. I’m gonna have to go with the Raptor though.

The rear end of the Raptor looks retarded. The whole car looks like a mix between an Exige front end and the rear looks like some stupid futuristic shit. Saleen should stick with Ford packages and the S7.

I’ll go with the Raptor it probably has less of a chance of catching on fire compared to the lambo.
