Vintage Microcar Compilation

By Jen Dunnaway

The blog DarkRoastedBlend has gathered up a whole heap of the web’s best pics of the tiniest cars ever made—from the wingless-cockpit Inter 175 A Berline to the cyclops-space-invader Peel. Some of these cars you can literally lift with one hand, and on the road they can get 100 mpg or more. Check them out!

Hey, Bengals Fan… THANKS for the clarkson/peel link. That was the most entertaining thing I’ve ever seen him do, and that’s saying a lot.

Just for the record… I wouldn’t drive that thing any where near public roads. As Jeremy Clarkson said, “Your knees are the crumple zones.”

Nice, but I’d be afraid that someone would literally walk off with my Peel. Man, that things tiny!!!

These cars are great! Just the looks you get from people driving down the road would be worth squeezing into the tiny interior. Is it even legal to drive it on the road? According to good old Wikipedia, they are street-legal in Great Britain, and it is unknown whether they are legal in other countries. I would love to add one of these to my fantasy future car collection. There is a hilarious video of Jeremy Clarkson (Hes 6 ft 5in) driving a Peel P50. Check it out at this address:
