Sopranos Cars Cross the Block

Ive never seen one measly minute of the Sopranos. I also have never seen any of the Godfather movies, and I found Goodfellas only mildly interesting. So I dont know squat about this Paulie Walnuts or Patsy Parisi. Nor do I care.
But I do know that $18,000 for a 2003 Cadillac CTS with nearly 100,000 miles on the odometer is about twice what any similar car without HBO provenance should go for. Then again, the Barrett-Jackson auction over the weekend where the car sold at no reserve did take place in Palm Beach, Florida, the epicenter of Gods Waiting Room–or, as a friend of mine calls it, America’s Wang. Plenty of well-off retirees were on hand all weekend, so maybe one of their like snapped it up.
As for the other six cars that formed the Sopranos collection at Barrett-Jackson, a 1997 Mercury Villager sold for $3,100 (normally $4,000-$5,000); Vitos 2000 Cadillac DeVille, complete with front-end damage, sold for $7,500 (normally $8,000-$9,000 without the front-end damage); each of Patsy’s bullet-hole-ridden 1993 Cadillacs sold for $2,500 (normally $2,000-$3,000 sans ventilation); and each of the 1999 Lincoln Town Car hit man cars sold for $2,600 (normally $4,000-$5,000). Thus, save for the Paulie Walnuts Caddy, collector cars these werent. Two more pics after the jump.

I’m completly shocked aswell….not about the cars, about why you havn’t seen The Godfather. Do yourself a favour my friend and watch that movie.

I agree with Ricticassee these cars could of sold for a lot more then what they did. anyone who said why buy them for that much, or they’re not going to get their money out of them… they are a collectors item,

This is un-freakin-believable!! Weren’t these cars here as a benefit for some children’s hospital? They could have gotten WAY more than this! I’ll bet Jackson’ll have a story to tell about this later…

I’m surprised they even sold these cars at something like the Barret Jackson… you could pick these up anywhere… props to the idiot that paid double for the caddy.

because I wasn’t about to start fawning over mob culture as filtered through popular culture and allow that to diminish my capacity for objectively reviewing these cars as they went up for auction.
