I'm a GM guy.
.
That said, I love the new Mustangs,
and when I was a teenager, the California
Highway Patrol had those notch back Mustangs.
.
I didn't like them, because they were a threat ;)
.
I honestly think it was the best of the Fox bodies.
.
Stiffer and lighter than the GT hatchback.
.
You didn't have to buy the all the GT bodywork, and
"boy racer" stuff.
.
I liked the sleeper look of the notch.
.
I'd consider buying one if they made them again.
.
On a side note, my girlfriend (now my wife) had a 1964 1/2 Mustang when I met her....
.
For those who have forgotten, those were notch backs...

I've been wondering for quite a while why they stopped the coupe in 94 and haven't made another one since. I see the fox bodies all over the place with notches, most of the 60's Stangs were notches, seems like it would be a good idea to bring it back.

More notches were made than anything else. Yeah, they might be unclassy, but its guaranteed you can still find a notch under 5g. Ford's philosophy for the Stang has always been "Show the 8, sell the 6". In other words, if it wasnt for all those bare base models, we wouldn't have good looking true performance Stangs. Aside from that, I always thought the notch looked sick in police badging. Your welcome to your own opinion though. This is just my $.02

But they should not bring back this mustang, there's a reason they dont have a notchback anymore! But for those who preferre a little more consider a 550 maranello (ferrari) something with some class to get the ass!

I second that Eric, but if they do, they'd better have an R/T model!!! For those of you who still don't know what a Spirit R/T is or how fast it was, just click my link.

Let's see, the notch left us in '93. By comparison, there was no 'vert from '73-'83. Yep, sounds like we're overdue to me!!!
