The Volt&#039;s performance will suffer because of GM&#039;s unwillingness to employ this technology, which is begging to be mainstreamed.&lt;br /&gt;

Nano Titanate batteries use an ionic electrolyte solution instead of graphite. They are VASTLY better in performance, thermal stability, less caustic, recharge MUCH faster and last over 20 YEARS with more that 85% capacity retension.&lt;br /&gt;

So why is GM not using them? Planned obsolescence? Ignorance? (someone at GM must know this technology exists).&lt;br /&gt;

This is why I keep beating GM and other Jurassic auto makers over the head. It&#039;s a very valid and profound argument that they are not doing enough when they damn well could.&lt;br /&gt;
