I think the best remedy is to bite the bullet and fix the drip. I used to tolerate leaks but decided that anytime one of my vehicles can’t hold its fluids… I just gotta slide that to the top of the to-do list come hell or high water.

The tranny in at least one ride I’ve owned was helped along to its demise because of a constantly-dropping level. I kept putting off having the pan gasket fixed and ended up selling the car with a bad tranny instead.

You know, Jen, I can’t stand people like you. You know, the ones that park right in front of the apartment door and only leave once a week. Then I have to haul my groceries from the back of the lot thanks to jerks like you.

I agree with John Jacob Kaputnik. It wasn’t your space, and leaving your oil pan there was just plain stupid. If it was me, I would have parked on top of it on purpose.

Furthermore if you left the parking space why not move the drip pan out of the way? What if someone and their kids parked next to you and the kid tripped and fell into your car’s mess?

Wait a minute. It’s not your spot. If your car is going to be sitting for an extended period of time in an unassigned space parking garage, why do you take the best spot? And why should anybody have to worry about your crummy car’s drip pan? I shouldn’t have to even consider that if I pull into a somewhat public spot in a garage that I might be pulling into somebody’s drip pan. I might not even know what a drip pan is. And why should I clean up your mess for you? It’s your drip pan. It’s not your parking spot. This is not the other driver’s problem, this is yours.

Haha. What a tool. Even if he doesn’t clean it up, you have photographic evidence to show to the building management when they blame you.

This guy definitly deserves and “i park like an asshole” ticket. Your pan is dead nuts in the middle of the space and hes still got one wheel wallowing in it.

What a knob! How he didn’t hear that he was running over it, boggles the mind. Oh well He’ll have a nice super greasy tire to deal with, good luck getting traction with that…

Some might say you should fix the leak, but leaks happening are a fact of life for most with older rides. Heck it cost me probably 750 to make sure my ‘bird was leakless, and that dosen’t count the preventive replacement of the rear main seal and front tranny seal I did personally.

Just gonna have to accept the fact that many people go about their lives with as little thought and regard for others’ as they can get away with.
