GRID: Send Us Your Questions

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

Ever wanted to ask a video game developer what went into making a game? Here’s your chance. Below, Chief Game Designer Ralph Fulton talks about the making of GRID, the cool new racing game from Codemasters which launches in June. Cool, right? But we know you guys have some questions of your own. So post ‘em below and I’ll get them to the developers. They’re busy guys, so it may take a week or two to hear back, but we’ll get your questions answered.

I have had GRID for about 3 weeks now and i found out there is no split screen mode to play on when ur mates are round.

Why Did you design a great game and yet not put in an essential part of the game that we all truly love (split Screen).

What’s multiplayer going to be like on the PC? How many players, what types of races, anti-cheat, records etc?

do you really drive the cars on real track to know how they handle and put that info in the game? if so how do you do this? and one more thing. are there going to be trucks in this game like PGR2 and Gran Truismo?

I got one.
-
in GRID, can players accumulate/modify their own cars, then decide what to drive in competition?
-
This gauges desireability of a racing simulation game, IMO. Those who take those variables away are arcade games.
-
Sorry for not beating around the bush about this.
