If You Had a Multi-Million Dollar Car Collection…

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

…what cars would you have? Now, I don’t want to take anything about from Frank Ruppert and his awesome collection, but I don’t think I’d have any Maybachs or McLarens. Come to think of it, I’m not sure I’d have any German cars at all. I’d probably focus on American muscle and Italian sports cars–primarily Mopars and Ferraris. I’d have one B-body for every year from 1963 and 1971, plus a Hemi Dart or two. There’d be a 246 Dino and a 512 Boxer and a Daytona and a 288 GTO. I’d definitely have an Alfa GTA. I’d want to have at least one Tri Five–probably a Nomad–and maybe a Chevelle or a 442 (don’t tell any of my Mopar buddies, but I like GM muscle cars). I’d have to have at least one Mustang–a new FR500S sure would be fun at the track. And I’d definitely want a 300B like the one I saw at SEMA last year. Not sure what’d I’d use for a daily driver. Maybe the new Dodge Challenger. Or a Ferrari 599, with the paddle shifters in case I got stuck in traffic.

How about you guys?

I recently found myself back in Japan and with two weeks to spare I decided to get out of Tokyo and pay a visit to the historical capital of Japan and buying an old model BMW

If I had that kind of cash I would have a stable full of ex-road race cars. I especially love the little Brit racers and the ex-Nascar muscle. Maybe even an old Can-am car. I want something I can take to the track but has some heritage. If lucky I might throw in some of the classic Japanese cars. An actual list of years and models would take me hours…

I’d have, in this order:

-1987 Buick Regal Grand National GNX.
-New Corvette ZR1.
-1964 Impala SS w/ 409.
-1928 Buick Tudor.
-1963 Buick Riviera.
-1972 Buick Riviera.
-1970 Chevelle 454 SS (for my wife) ;)
-1964 Mustang (again, for my wife) ;)
-Australian Ford Falcon / Mad Max car replica.
-60’s Barris Batmobile replica.
-Dodge Viper.

That’s a start, anyways :)

And No. Probably no German cars…

Haha, so much for you guys making multi-million dollar lists. Some of the cars you guys are describing are worth multiple millions individually.

I will try to get Ferrari F1 cars. from the very first F1 car Ferrari has made up to the latest. That would be cool.
