Runs and Drives: NASCAR Dodge on eBay

By Jen Dunnaway

Up for sale is a retired superspeedway car built by Richard Petty Enterprises. It’s on the cheap side because it looks like it was only ever a promo vehicle, not an actual race car—though the seller claims it’s done some hot laps, the single-sponsor paint scheme (and the fact that Wix has only ever sponsored a No. 1 car for DEI) kind of gives it away. Still, it’s got the race-tuned 358 built by Petty Enterprises and all the other standard-issue NASCAR internals, and would surely cackle and roar as well as any veteran race-winner. What you’d do with it is a whole ‘nother matter—it’s not street legal, of course—but it’d be kind of cool to have!

Very cool. Ebay often has a few of these up for sale, at respectable prices too. How fun would it be cruising around in one of these, talk about an attention getter!
