Weapons-Grade GTR V-Spec Spotted at the Ring

The camera-jockeys from Auto Express just posted some shots of Nissan’s V-Spec GTR running laps at the Nurburgring. While the exterior changes aren’t anything earth-shatteringMr. Angry probably still thinks it looks boringit was sporting a carbon fiber rear wing, packing almost 80 more horses and managed to shave 13 seconds off the standard model’s already impressive lap time. The big question now? How many will Nissan produce annually? Previously, the company has said it can only build 1000 GTRs per month, and it’s unclear how many will get the Spec-V package. We’ll keep you posted. Four more pics after the jump.

Why do people keep calling it a spec-V? I thought it was V-Spec for “victory-specification,” named after the specification they used to win the Japanese JGTC. Anyways, I don’t think the GTR V-Spec is going to come out until the GTR wins the Super GT races, then Nissan can officially say they have a “V-Spec.”

Forget about the exterior, which is beautiful in person I must say, but 13 SECONDS!!! How the hell do you shave that much time off when they’re already posting supercar lap times. My hats off to Nissan, maybe if the big 3 decided to make real sports cars that could pull off the same feat, they would be considered players in the international auto market instead of punchlines.

Mr. Angry is a douche bag who doesn’t appreciate the GTR b/c it has destroyed his belief in what a FAST CAR is. This car is NOT AT ALL a supercar. NO WAY IN HELL, its a regular car you can drive to work, pick up the kids get groceries, and then on your way home from work you see some rich spoiled mofo you can WASTE THE SHIT OUT OF HIM. Thats why this is the GREATEST CAR OF THE CENTURY. NOBODY WILL TOP THIS. NO ONE.
