I just took a bunch of pics today of my Firebird. Done a lot of mods and all the pics were in my driveway. It’s a nice driveway, but it’s a driveway.

I had planned to take the car to a catering place near me, which has a large amount of impressive landscaping and a pavilion and fountain which are in roman or greek styling, but unfortunately the place wasn’t empty, so I dove around looking for a place not far away that had some space and color at least. I settled on a new business park. One of the things that I liked is that the paving has a red tint, so the black accent on the bottom of my car would contrast, and there were forsythia and cherry blossoms in bloom for color.

The shots turned out phenomenal. I didn’t have a ladder, but I managed to get some great shots. Better yet, it’s a convertible, so there’s a great variety of shots and angles both with the top up and down. Best of all, interior shots were a photographer’s dream.

I got one shot that is truly outstanding though. Something I think never seen before. I modified the door panels in my Firebird with Acrylic mirror. With both doors open I got a forward shot of the DS door reflecting the PS door reflecting the landscape behind me from the other side of the car. That’s definitely a keeper and completely unique.

If you read this, check out how my photosession went. I totally re-did my Firebird page, eliminating most older shots and focusing on the car’s present state since so much has happened since I bought it.

thats a awesome article, most of my pictures were quick ones off of my digital camera, once i get mine out of storage for the winter i’m going to take out our good camera and actually try 2 take some better pics, mine mostly suck lol

This article was great. I want to delete almost every picture on my page and start over. Half of my shots are ok and the other half are garbage. I cant wait till the leaves get on the trees so I can head out and test out a few choice areas.

Rob, next time you come out to Detroit, I’ll take you to Red Knapp’s. What a great place for that shot.
