Would You Pay Over Sticker?

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

With all this talk of the new Challenger and GT-R going for well over sticker, I’m curious, how many of you would be willing to pay more than MSRP for a new car?

Oh I understand, it happens a lot here in brasil… honda fit was supposed to be 10000R$ cheaper (+-5800$) but due to high demand honda raised the price… Also happend with Chevrolet Tracker, but i don’t know how much.

“Over Sticker” means paying more than the manufacturer’s original suggested price. Rarely, there’s such high demand for some new models coming out that people start making offers higher than that price, and that starts to raise the price.

I think it happened with the Miata, PT Cruiser years ago and no doubt, the impatience of consumers will force prices up many times in the future. Dealerships just looove it when that happens.
