No Contest here the Solstice is the dumbest design ever to come from Detroit it’s just a miata want 2 be cheap imitation it’s interior proof it, it’s top operation nightmare and a comic book like trunk space this Pontiac is a joke plus the reliability of the Ecotec engine is questionable. Miatas any time any day 20 years of proven reliavility and continued success.Don’t mess with success. ZOOM ZOOM forever.

Own a Miata. Like it a lot.

Test drove a Solstace. And a Sky. Icky. Overpowered, lousy clutch/gearbox combo. Awful ergonomics. Utterly useless “trunk”. Mediocre fit, decent exterior finish, though the body panels didn’t really fit. Top mechanism took BOTH sales people about 5 minutes (MINUTES!!) to put down the top. Neither was able to successfully up the top. Both “punted” it to the service department. (BOTH!!!) Solstace is overdone styling, IMO — ricer’s dream.

5 years from now, which is still making owners smile. 10 years from now, which’ll still have clubs round the world. 20 years from now, which’ll be running races, mountain roads and rallys?

I’ll let you guess.

i have an 06 miata and love it. i test drove a solstice and there just wasn't enough legroom to even think about it. beautiful car though. i've only raced one. it was even til we hit the corners. i don't think he felt like pushing it. can't wait to race a couple more... clown all you want. they're both loads of fun to drive.
