Buick Powered El Camino

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

As you may have noticed by now, we like El Caminos. Neil bought this straight, rust free V6 car on eBay in January of 2007 and immediately ripped it apart. On July 4 it went out on its maiden voyage with a stout Buick 455, Tremec 5 speed, new paint and interior (Acura CL bucket seats and Dakota Digital instrumentation). Pretty damn sweet. Be sure to check out Neil’s ride page for plenty of nice shots of the restification.

hmmm. I wonder if I can get away with fender ports on my Firebird. Wouldn’t have to worry ’bout rust, they’re not metal… and the later 4th gen birds got ‘em.

I had to come back and post again.
.
I just checked out all three pages of his ride page,
and looked at every picture.
.
DAMN!
.
This guy is an AUTOMOTIVE ARTIST!
.
I love everything he has done.
.
If you haven’t checked out his ride page,
just drop whatever you are doing, and get
your butt there ASAP!
.
One of the best rides of any kind I have
seen in a loooooong while boys and girls.
.
Simply amazing craftsmanship!

p.s. The Buick ventiports are completely appropriate and look great. They remind me of the GNX and GN, and fit this car perfectly. I believe they are Lucerne parts. I know they are late model Buick.
.
They look PERFECT on this ride.
.
I wish I could see and hear this car in person. I’ll bet it’s a rush!

I like it!
.
The fender ports are appropriate: It’s Buick powered.
They look good IMHO.
.
Great job!
