As promised, here’s the video that’ll give you an idea of what a totally sodden Texas World Speedway looks like from behind the wheel of the Boxer4Racing STi.

Thanks guys. In previous cars i’ve owned I’ve tried Rain-x and it just made things fog up. I’ll have to try it again to see if they’ve changed the formula…

Where the hell would we be without Rain-X? On the track, I guess the wall, or infield… maybe on top of some tires…

The track looked bad, but I imagined a bit worse. Other then the nuisance the apex of some curves being disrupted by standing water, that big puddle was about the worst of it.

I love how you can use the speed of the rain coming up the window as a rough equivalent of a speedometer. That one puddle was pretty huge – now we just need the behind-the-car camera to show you guys throwing roostertails around the track.
As for the window, try Rain-X – spray on and wipe off and it makes water bead like crazy. You have to reapply it pretty often, but it’s easy to do.

God, I love the sound of those Boxers engines. One question, what does he use on his windshield? I would love it if my window did that when it rained…
Thanks for the vid.
