Import Cop Cars? Yea or Ney?

i live in hickory,NC all we have here is some impalas,a few dodge chargers, and some explorers and ofcourse somw crown vics

hell no, I have yet to see one and don’t ever want to see one, but it would make me less likely to pull over

I don’t think I’ve seen an import cop car, besides maybe a BMW motorcycle. My county in Wisconsin has a few Chargers, a Ford Explorer, and I’ve also seen a Jeep Wrangler. Also, I’m sure I’ve seen a few Impalas dressed as cop cars. Oddly enough, I don’t remember seeing an actual Crown Victoria cop car in quite a while.

It’s either Crown Vic’s or Impala’s here in Ottawa, and there also are about 6 Charger’s spread amongst the fleet as well

The police in my part of the world have had a few interesting imports in the past. The ones I really remember were an RX7 and a WRX.

Here in Sparks/ RENO we have BMW motorcycles, and actually the cops love them! If your gonna replace the VIC’s with something import, not a fuel saver econo-box! How would you catch people? they should use BIMMER cars too if they use the bikes! No check engine lights here.

I think it’s a great idea. One county is replacing their Harley’s with Honda Motorcycles, a faster, better performing, more reliable motorcycle that’s cheap

Replacing gas guzzling V8s for more economical vehicles (even different domestic vehicles) are great ideas. Taxi fleets in Cali are buying prius’ vs. crown vics, and car rentals stopped buying american fleet vehicles. There’s a reason for this and it’s a great idea.

One is a bone stock 2005 Beetle and the other is a 2007 Jetta, lowered, BBS wheels, and a carbon fiber grill. The Jetta was siezed in a bust but the wheels were installed by the state believe it or not.

Yes yes… if they all drove Jettas then I know I would get away from them!!! Plus I know that they would most likely throw random check engine lights and eventually break down.
