Terrible Timing: Alfa Romeo Plans SUV
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
I guess Alfa Romeo hasn’t noticed all the traded-in SUV’s rotting on dealer lots, because they’ve decided that now is the perfect time to bring a new soccer-mom mobile to market. They don’t even feel they have to advertise their new compact behemoth, likely to hit the US in 2010, claiming that "Alfa Romeo is not a brand that requires huge marketing budgets" because "the brand is known worldwide." Well, maybe if the production version looks as mean as the concept sketch, the thing would sell itself. But that’s not altogether likely. Stay tuned!

Im not sure why stewart thinks he’s a an ALFA ROMEO expert. Oh well everyone has to talk at some point! Im sure they can build a fine SUV, its just the AMERICAN market dumping thier trucks cause they fear the GAS MAN!

Not a bad looking sketch, but it reminds me of the Subaru B9 Tribeca… which was pretty ugly.

[sarcasm]
Alfa Romeo is such a dominating force in the auto industry,
that they don’t have to worry about silly things like
gas prices, SUV gluts, etc…
.
I don’t know about you guys, but I see an Alfa every day, and
they are well known to be trouble free, reliable, and down right
practical, well built cars…
[/sarcasm]
.
.
Seriously, I really and honestly don’t know how Alfa continues
to exist.
.
They must have some die hard fans, ’cause I know that even if I won the 500 million dollar lottery, and had a stable of many brands of cars, Alfa would probably not be in the collection…
.
Yes, the brand is known world wide, but what me and most of my friends believe is that they don’t build very good cars.
.
Not trying to hate on Alfa, I just find this article amusing, and it
doesn’t surprise me a bit. Alfa still selling cars does amaze me…
.
Heck, Alfa will probably outlast the American Big 3…
.
Isn’t Alfa part of Fiat?
.
We ALL know that Fiat builds reliable cars… (yeah sarcasm back on here).
