Path To An Automotive Dream Job?

Let’s be honest: amidst all the layoffs and dwindling sales, getting started in the automotive industry isn’t exactly the easiest thing to do anymore. In fact, in my Australian hometown of Geelong, we’re going to lose 600 jobs when Ford closes its six-cylinder engine plant. That’s why I was pleasantly surprised to see that Rolls-Royce really seems to be pushing its "Graduate Experience," a trainee program recruiting "high performers" from a wide range of disciplines such as engineering and business. Successful applicants will be expected to undertake projects that are designed to develop their skills over a two-year program, which involves both national and international travel. Sounds like a rough life! So if you think you’re the next Chip Foose and can get a permit to work in the UK and Europe, this might be a worthwhile opportunity.
