Fords At Carlisle: Bloodbath!
By Jen Dunnaway

Donald Gromling wanted to try something other than the traditional flames when he did paint on his cool ‘68 Torino, and the splashy-looking red graphics he chose kind of give it the look of the world’s most badass Red Cross mobile blood bank! Tubbed and caged, it’s running a 347 stroker and can get 11’s in the quarter-mile. More pics after the jump.

I actually like the paint job. Something different. Tubbed rear end looks great aswell!

Beautiful Torino, but I’m not feeling that paint job.
.
The wooden console is cool too, but it doesn’t fit the
theme of the car.
.
Lots of good ideas, but he needs to pick one theme, and
stick with it…
.
Wooden consoles don’t fit a race car IMHO. Great for Jags & vans…
.
Quarter mile race car inspired rides??? Not so much…
.
.
Not hating (at least trying not to hate this car) as God knows
I like different rides, but that car would look SOOOOOOO much better
with a different paint job and an aluminum fabbed console…
.
The paint scheme looks juvenile at best to me…
.
Just my .02
.
Damn, I guess I am hating on this ride…
.
I guess it made my blood boil
.
I just spent the day at a car show (again), and it makes me
wonder why people don’t plan out their rides so that everything
in the “theme” matches or goes together…
.
.
This could be a GREAT car very easily, but it isn’t right now…
.
Right now it just looks very “busy”…
.
.
Sorry to sound so negative, but that is my honest opinion about this car…
.
I see excellent craftsmanship and skill, but poor planning and execution…
