Built Not Bought: Charlie’s Homemade Car

On Charlie’s CarDomain page, this is officially listed as a 2008 Subaru Impreza, but he’s built it pretty much from the ground up. Along with a ’60s-era Ford fuel tank, trailer lights, and suspension components from a Harley-Davidson, it’s running the 2.5 liter from a 2000 Forrester, and an "older" four-speed automatic. Check out how the FWD tranny is powering the rear wheels! How’s that for creative? When he took it to the track, it ran 12s, and Charlie claims that it’s registered in Texas as an ASVE RD, for "assembled vehicle roadster." He’s posted a couple of videos of his creation, one showing him taking it for a spin, and another where he provides some details about the construction.
