1. What is the budget for Warren every year? I think a lot of people don't realize how much money GM spends on design, engineering, and development. Lithium ion battery vendors were not pushing series hybrid technology at SAE this year. What gives?

Here's one: Why is it so easy for foreign GM divisions in Australia and Europe to make great cars, and so hard for GM in America to make them? Short of the Malibu, virtually every good car they make was either designed and built somewhere else (G8) or HEAVILY influenced by the Euro divisions (Saturn). Why can't Detroit design something original on it's own?

This may seem strange but... but What does he recommend to students who aspire to be in the automotive industry to help bring only the best products to market? or in other words, What is his advice to a student who might aspire to be him/in his position, but in a more technical sense?

What does GM plan to accomplish in the near future as far as consumer satisfaction is concern'd. With all of the import's bragging impressive fuel economy and "impressive quality", it must make it hard to introduce a domestic vehicle that will catch the eye of those looking to buy. Regardless of the brand, there is such an overabundance of vehicles sitting in any dealership across north america. So what does GM plan to do to get more north american drivers behind the wheel of a good home built car? Keep in mind that low intrest rates and fancy plastics can only go so far. Could there be any colaberations with more auto makers as a possibiltiy to boost the strength of our good old home built pride?
