This Just In: New on the Net

Ah, it’s another gorgeous summer day in Seattle, which means it’s 55 degrees, overcast and drizzling.  I’ve filed a complaint with the mayor, but I haven’t heard anything back. I’ll keep you posted. Anyway, here’s the news:

  • Spy photographers have snapped some pics of the next generation Acura NSX, and while it doesn’t appear to be covered in a bunch of tarps, the camo is particularly effective. Doesn’t it look like this baby is ready for arctic combat? Autoblog
  • The smart is set get even more clever. Customers over in Britain will soon get the option of having a fully electric version, and with an eight hour charge and a 60-mile range, it seems practical enough. Of course, the million dollar question is when—or even if—we’ll get the option on this side of the pond. Auto Express
  • Lotus is already experienced at making small light vehicles, so the company’s involvement in two new government-subsidized green projects should reap big-time benefits. Bring on the sporty, sexy green machines! World Car Fans
  • How much would you spend for a personalized plate? Because F1 driver Lewis Hamilton just spent nearly half a million bucks on one reading "LEW 1S." Is that tacky or what? Motor Authority
