Day One, 6:20PM: Team Jeep Gets Popped

Given that we’ve been traveling between 90 and 120MPH for the majority of the day—the SRT-8 is running like achamp!—it’s not terribly surprising we got stopped. What was surprising? The cop’s attitude! While he was definitely issuing Jeb aticket, from the way he talked to Team Jeep’s pilot, he could just as easily have been dishing up ice cream sundaes. After asking usif we were on timed runs, Officer Friendly said we shouldn’t worry too much, as there were only six cars in front of us. Thefine was a whopping $40 bucks, which was paid right there on the side of the road. Below is a demonstration of what would have happened ifhe had nailed us for going over 100MPH.
