Occupational Hazards
Sometimes I hate my job. On the surface, we get to do a lot of cool things–drive new cars, travel to exotic locations, and make a living writing about our passion. Other times, we have to deal with the fact that people we know are no longer with us.
Yesterday I learned that vintage racer Dino Crescentini was killed at Mosport this weekend. I met him at this year’s Mitty, and we planned on doing a little feature on him. I only spent a few minutes with Mr. Crescentini, but he seemed like the kind of guy you could hang with all evening. Maybe this is all just a dream.

I have known Dino from racing and he always had a smile on his face no matter what problem his cars had. I will miss seeing him at the track.

This truly was a sad day for all auto enthusiast and Olympic enthusiast as well since like myself, Dino was a former Olympian having been a member of the San Marino bobsled team that competed at the 1994 Olympics.
I feel it equally as important that he should not be mistaken for racer Dino Crescentini of Malibu California who races in SPEED World Challenge.
God’s Speed.
