What Did You Do This Weekend?

I went briefly to the goofy Fremont Solstice Parade with my daughter but somehow missed all the wacky art cars, which you can see over on Flickr. What did you do this weekend?

I don’t remember what I did the next to last weekend of June but last weekend I flew to San Antonio, Texas and drove home, to Daytona Beach, Florida, a 1963 Ford Falcon Station Bus I bought on ebay. Ran when parked 2 years ago, bought new tires, oil change and two bottles of fuel additive and drove it on home. It was a blast, but next time, I rebuild the brakes before heading east. Most of the trip is featured on my blog.

I Went to my local junkyard
cardomain posts have encouraged me to save a car
so i was browsing around, and i came across an 89 camaro
rust, half of the engine parts are gone, wheels and no windows is the only problem
i might just buy it and restore

Went to a car show on Saturday and showed the RoadMonster.
.
Won “Best in class 1980 – 2008″ and runner up for “Best Engine”.
.
Had a great time!
.
Planned a few more mods, and got the ball rolling…
.
Should have them done for the next big show
