Z06 Dominates the GT-R on CarDomain

We got over 300 comments on this week’s Showroom Showdown. After I went through and counted the votes (ignoring a considerable amount of bickering and infighting) the Vette emerged as the winner, by roughly a 4-to-3 margin. A GT-R fan posted a link to this video where Road & Track came out in favor of the GT-R (the GT-R spanked both the Z06 and the 911 Turbo at Buttonwillow). But remember, Showroom Showdowns are about what you would choose, not the automotive press. And anyway, it’s not always about what’s fastest on the track. It’s about what you would want to drive, what you would want to wrench on, what you would want to be seen in, and what you would want to have parked in your garage. And this week, CarDomain readers chose the Z06.

Dang people get so angry!!! It’s personal taste in my opinion. As far as ‘anonymous’ below me- most these trash talkers can’t even afford a corvette, so what’s the point in knocking? These are all super handling and performing vehicles. Get into one, actually drive it and you’ll realize it. Dang people. I love my Vette man. shoot

why would I want to be seen in a ZR1? It looks almost like any other vett out there…. American trash..

im damn surprised the vette beat the gtr, after all the “hooplah” about the awesome launch controll, price and general start of a japanese supercar. its good to know that the US is still on everybody’s list ;P actoually id want the GTR over the Z06 but id much rather have the ZR1!

this is why I don’t comment here anymore…
New rule, all gay posts hence forth will have a fine punishable by a lynch mobbing of the supposed perpetrator. All gay posts already written and posted will be erased from the site, downloaded to a floppy, then inserted down the offending individuals throat, thereby rendering him “speechless”.
Not that that would happen, but still, this site is becoming more of a “this car rulz that car in itz azz” every day. If you don’t have anything sma… wait… i’m not even gonna bother saying it because it’s been said millions of times, and nobody listens. So screw it, say what you want, who cares. Its great to see the Z06 come out on top…on paper. Too bad the GT-R is lower price and still wipes the track with the Z06′s ass.

Great to see the Vette come out infront of the GT-R. And more good news just in aswell, the ZR1 has beaten the lap time of the GT-R by 3 odd seconds. I’m sure you guys will post up a link soon enough.
