Creepy eBay Auction: the Buick Electra that Jayne Mansfield Died In

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

Actress Jayne Mansfield died tragically in an automobile accident in 1967 while riding in the front seat of a 1966 Buick Electra (if you want the gory details, go here). For some reason, the wrecked Electra survived all these years, and now it’s on eBay. Normally I’m all for saving old cars, but I think this one should just go to the crusher.

10,000 bucks… I thinks it’s pretty lame to try and cash in on memorabilia from someone’s accidental death. Trying to cash in substantially takes it to a lower level.
-
I’d quantify this just a notch above “scum of the earth”.
-
That car should be recycled.
