Hand-built Skylane
By Jen Dunnaway

This one-of-a-kind roadster, which won Motor Trend’s "Custom Covertible of the Year" in 1951, was built completely from scratch by a father and son team over a half a century ago. It’s powered by a flathead V8 and uses parts from fourteen different cars. While its eBay auction is over and it doesn’t seem to have sold at $750,000, I wouldn’t be suprised to see the "Skyland Motor Special" relisted in the near future.
