Sky-High Gas Prices Curb Teen Cruising
By John Coyle
Editor
As crazy as it sounds, there might actually be an upside to higher gas prices. Because while the numbers on the pump might be cringe-worthy for hard working adults, for teenagers, the prices are proving to be just too high to handle. So why is that a good thing? Well, if kids can’t afford gas, that means there will be less of them endlessly cruising up and down local main drags, which means no more Friday night gridlock. Sounds good to me! Head over to the New York Times for more info.

Teens would love to show off their rides, however not all of them are able to afford gas. Some may look for ways of getting more money and may start dealing with drugs, of which they must learn to refrain from the addicting habit.

Aimless driving, honking the horn at cute girls, then taking them for a ride and then a little more. All the teens will need econo-boxes in order to do keep cruising, what a sad site that will be.

I’d like to cruise ..even though old enough to be a teens father. It is an evolved cruise. I want no circles. I want a straight winding hilly line, grassy fields, mountains, and desert, horizon views 105mph seems slow. point b a surprise.. then make my way back a different way…What would it take now realistically? The answer is indeed in the past, not forgotten. not all cruising is aimless…

sounds great, but anyone who actually remembers being a teen will know that less cruising means more trouble of different kinds.

This article should be read sitting in a rocking chair on your front porch while your hound dog sleeps next to your shot gun….
